Description
Investigation of the biological generative processes for establishing parametric workflows
and experimental shapes suitable to find new aesthetics and functional needs of the future
everyday objects, reducing the amount of material, energy and time employed
for the production and design.
The project considers the natural biological systems as a source of research to establish
new forms and new production processes of the objects used by humans in the future.
Noosphere is the place that allows the perfect hybridization required to reach the target of research.
Keyword 1: PARAMETRIC DESIGN
Use of parametric workflows in 3D modeling software to recreate complex natural shapes.
The main objective is to reduce components to assembly in products and discover new physical
behaviors of the similar cells.
Keyword 2: ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES
Explanation: Understand additive manufacturing technologies, materials and technical
solutions for the parametric object production.
Keyword 3: TRENDS IN CONTEMPORARY DESIGN AND FUNCTIONAL ART
Explanation: Explore latest trends and researches in design, art and biology
to study new design solutions.
3D MODELING FOR 3D PRINTING
Description
Basic, intermediate and advanced workshop of 3D modeling with Rhinoceros 3D.
The workshop aims to give the right method to quickly convert a good idea in
a correct 3D model and in physical prototype made with 3D printers.

MATERIALS FOR 3D PRINTING
Description
Full immersion session to investigate the materials for 3D printing technologies.
The main focus is the study of thermoplastic polymers to understand
physical and mechanical behavior during the 3D printing FDM process.
3D PRINTING
Description
Basic, intermediate and advanced workshop useful to understand and learn all the methodologies
and the uses of 3D printing technologies.
Optimization of the 3D model, slicing software, 3D printers machines analysis, materials for 3D printing,
techniques of prototype finishing, small series production.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING DESIGN
Description
The Additive Manufacturing technologies, on the one hand allow the analysis and the development
of a product before being replicated in series, the other the manufacture of components or customized
products with complex geometries.
The demand for customized products and limited editions, reducing time to market and democratization
of digital production machines, are factors that require the designer to evaluate, since the design
the beginning, the use of 3D printing combining with the traditional processes of industrial production.
The goal of the training is to transfer specific knowledge, to acquire new skills and consolidate a correct
methodology for the use of additive manufacturing technologies.
3D PRINTING FOR JWELLERY AND FASHION ACCESSORIES DESIGN

Description
The workshop goal is create a self-propelled objects, in which mechanisms
are driven by the human body kiping in mind three design constraints:
zero energy, zero communication, zero software. The effort of the workshop
is to produce a real physical prototype of new idea of object never seen before.
