name: gamAGE #1
year: 2008
size: 60x80x240cm
media: elecrtic waste, polyester resin, chalk, red earth, glue, plaster
The sculpture is a part of a bigger project in worgress for describing
the human mutation. The man, informed, passive and devoid of the five senses,
absorbs the post-material through his legs and stores it directly into the muscles.
The question is if the legs are just arriving into the garbage or it's goint to painfully go out.
On the one hand, the artwork operates the radical passivity and impotence
of the human being in front of the predominance of economic and political systems;
on the other, the sculpture shows the final dystopia, where will be the man himself
to metabilize the material and trasnform it.
name: gamAGE #2
year: 2012
size: 100x100x100cm
media: electronic waste, polyester resin, chalk, red earth, glue, plaster
The sculpture is a part of a bigger project in worgress for describing
the human mutation. The man, informed, passive and devoid of the five senses,
absorbs the post-material through his mouth and stores it directly into the brain.
However, the new brain matter is too bulky and increase fastly, and the human
cannot control it (you still recognize some objects pushing out from the inside).
On the one hand, the artwork operates the radical passivity and impotence
of the human being in front of the predominance of economic and political systems;
on the other, the sculpture shows the final dystopia, where will be the man himself
to metabilize the material and trasnform it.
name: Stele
year: 2015
size: 20x20x70cm
media: a collection of wasted books and magazines of the italian "Resistenza"
during the 2nd World War, concrete, chalk, polyester resin, Durokal®
The Stele are the formal return of a historical layering process and material.
A collection of discarded books from dusty attics, dated between the years
of the Resistance until the eighties of the last century, become "inert" material
posed for subsequent layers in a mold with cement, plaster, polyester resin
and alabaster Durokal®.
The compression of the books generates an irregular distribution of the masses
that produce splits and random cavities. The pure form of monoliths is precarious,
as well as the memory of the Resistance and the persistence of design in the new
era of personal digital production.
